Caring Harts Transportation has offered to transport up to 8 assisted individuals (wheelchair transport) from their homes to the festival in the park. Individuals must live in the townships of Arcade, Yorkshire,and Machias or in the Village of Delevan. They will pick up starting at 11 am till 9:30pm. (Individuals
must have handicap access to he home already, Hart Transporation can not transport up and down stairs - you must have a ramp or lift a vator.) Please contact them at 716-457-3051 prior to July 25th to schedule a pick up or to cancel one previously made. |
About The Festival

Welcome to this year's Fabulous Fifties Festival Website.
The Arcade Village Park provided us with a beautiful layout and we will again be holding the festival at this location. This year's festival will begin with the return of "THE ARCHIVES" - a very popular local band that will start the festivities off on Friday evening beginning at 6 pm followed by the "sitin" movie.
Refreshments/Food will be available Friday evening starting at 5pm and Saturday beginning at 11 am.
MARK your calendars for July 24th and 25th - you do not want to miss this years 50's Festival!

Where to begin? - Events are shaping up as follows:
FRIDAY EVENING
Come and dine with us - Fish Fry, clam stand, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc will be available
• Archives Band
• Remote Vehicle Practice (more info to follow)
• Drive in Movie(thanks to Kless Boys & Bill George!)
SATURDAY
• Classic Car Show
• Motorcycle Display
• 50's Contest (inc. hoola hoop, dress, bubble gum blowing, etc.)
• Food/Refreshments
* Barbie's Birthday Bash
• Volleyball & Horseshoe Tournaments
• Kid's Carnival & Beach Party
• Music by Ed Bentley, Todd Tucker, and "Elvis"
• Sock Hop by J.P. Sound Systems (Joe Pawlowski)

Who and what's behind the Arcade's Fabulous 50s Festival?
We are a group of local residents and business owners from Arcade, New York. We want to pay tribute to a wonderful time in our American history so each year we put together the Arcade's Fabulous 50s Festival.
Your children can learn about the 50s and you can relive it. However, the Festival could not take place without our sponsors so a special thanks for all who help make this Festival come alive each year.

I was born and raised here in Arcade, and after 15 years or so of plying my trade in Buffalo, I've come back to the community I know best to settle down. My hopes as a resident is to make a rewarding impact for my career and my community. My hopes as Festival chairman are simply to continue this fantastic festival in our community so that each year we can come together and enjoy the company of others throughout our community and the WNY region.

These people are the bedrock of this community. You simply cannot interact in the Village of Arcade without crossing paths with these individuals. If they are not actively participating for the direct betterment of Arcade, you'll find them in there yards doing the same. This group brought to me the experience of community action, know-how, and the very skills and determination necessary to organize and pull of a Festival such as this. I Thank them, so if and when you see them, please do the same.
Arcade, NY is located about 45 minutes southeast of Buffalo among the beautiful rolling hills of New York's southern tier. It's a perfect getaway location to spend a weekend enjoying the spirit of 1950's.
